Sunday Morning in Bayswater

It sunny but few people are about. Stretched a muscle in my leg so I'm hobbling down to the iCaf.

Google horoscope: Things may unfold now at an increased rate, signaling the onset of great changes. You have waited long enough; this is your time for spiritual and emotional renewal. Remember that endings are as important as beginnings, so be prepared to let go of anything that is holding you back. Don't worry; just make room for what the currents are now carrying your way.

This is becoming ridiculous.

Went to the Natgal yesterday and saw the Monet to Picasso show. Realised just one thing: we don't care about the subjects or the brush strokes. What touches us at the core is the fearless creativity. The utter compulsion for the new.
That orange reflection in the water. Monet is seeing a hundred years into the future from 1873. And starving to make that statement. Ok, he did get rich in the end, but what did he do with the money (besides buying the first Renault)? He built a garden with a lily pond, which he then painted for the French Government (is there such a thing?). It's all in the Orangerie in Paris.

Go here to see "The Impressionist's" pics:
